Year 3
Welcome to Year 3. In Year 3 this year, the class teachers will be Miss Hobbs, Miss Sloman, Miss Taylor and Mrs Thompson.
We are excited about our learning this year. In Year 3, children will have the opportunity to read, amongst other high quality books, one of Miss Hobbs’ personal favourites, The Witches. Miss Sloman is particularly looking forward to exploring the topics of Ancient Egypt and the Stone Age during our history lessons, Mrs Thompson can’t wait to get stuck into introducing Spanish to you for the first time and Miss Taylor can’t wait to inspire the artists within Year 3 when we create Ancient Egyptian tiles.
In year 3 , we will also be covering a number of thrilling topics in Science, including Light, Rocks and Soils and Plants. In PE, the children will develop a range of skills through the units of dance, basketball, hockey, gymnastics, athletics, along with many more.
We cannot wait to go on this learning journey with all the Year 3 children to experience all of these amazing opportunities!
